Višak kapaciteta prijeti stabilnosti kontejnerskog tržišta do 2029.

Kontejnerski brodarski sektor trenutno pokazuje kontradiktorne trendove. Dok su čarter stope dosegnule razine koje nisu viđene izvan covid razdoblja, spot stope već devet tjedana zaredom bilježe pad.

Prema podacima Clarksons Research, Indeks čarter stopa kontejnerskih brodova iznosi 198 bodova – najvišu vrijednost izvan pandemijskih godina. Hamburgov New ConTex navodi da su stope u svim segmentima stabilne, a potražnja za brodovima zdrava i u ljetnim mjesecima, piše Splash247.

S druge strane, spot tržište bilježi kontinuirani pad. Šangajski indeks vozarina (SCFI) prošlog je petka pao za 4% na 1.490 bodova – što je 60% manje od prošlogodišnjeg vrhunca. Posebno su stope na transpacifičkoj ruti prema istoku vraćene na razine prije preusmjeravanja prometa zbog krize u Crvenom moru.

Među velikim prijevoznicima vlada podijeljena slika. Danski Maersk je prošlog tjedna povećao svoju prognozu za 2025., očekujući EBITDA između 8 i 9,5 milijardi USD, potaknut snažnijom potražnjom od očekivane. Suprotno tome, japanski Ocean Network Express (ONE) smanjio je prognozu za 400 milijuna USD zbog geopolitičkih i ekonomskih izazova.

Izazov za industriju ostaje višegodišnji problem prekomjerne ponude. Prema Xeneta podacima, veličina svjetske flote porasla je s indeksa 100 (2019.) na 145 bodova, dok je potražnja porasla tek na 113 bodova. Čak i kada se uračunaju duže rute oko Rta Dobre nade, potražnja u TEU-miljama doseže samo 130 bodova – i dalje znatno ispod rasta kapaciteta.

Analitičari upozoravaju da će višak kapaciteta vjerojatno trajati najmanje do 2029., što će prijevoznicima otežati održavanje stabilnih vozarina.
